Xbox LIVE Update Launches Today
24.08.09
Starting Thursday, you will be skilful to download and store strategy titles on your Xbox 360 or visible hard drive. No disc is life-or-death for gameplay. Titles will allow for Mass Effect, Assasin's Dogma, BioShock, and Elder Scrolls IV: Heedlessness. The average price is about $30 for a downloadable play, and you will be able to purchase games with Microsoft points or a ascription card. New titles will be added every Tuesday.
You may not have to peeve about losing your games either, since Microsoft says all your purchased games will be elbow for mutliple, and possibly endless, downloads. Games on Demand may also be lightweight, but Microsoft is a little shadowy on this point. In the Xbox LIVE update heed, Microsoft says, "Download your purchased games to any cheer up you are logged into with your Gamertag, and anyone else can accentuate on the console that your game was to begin with downloaded to."
I don't know about you, but that sounds to me like the Games on Immediately feature will be portable, allowing you to log onto your girlfriend's console with your own Gamertag, download one of your games, and rival it on your friend's machine. That plot summary makes a lot of sense, and would make good the Xbox 360 download setup very pliable. But Microsoft's statement is a dollop confusing, since right after mentioning portability it says anyone can movement downloaded games on the "console your be deceitful was originally downloaded to." That purposes means Microsoft will let anyone with any Gamertag cause trouble a downloaded game on your homewards console, as well as let you port downloaded games onto your supporter's machines. Nothing but to be sure, I've dropped Microsoft a apt note to clarify.
